Park.io — Privacy Policy

Park.io (“the app”) is developed by casewylie.io (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The app is designed to work entirely on your device, and we keep data collection to the minimum needed for it to function.
Information the app handles
To help you remember where you parked, the app stores the following on your device:
- Location — the GPS coordinates of where you parked, when you choose to save a spot.
- Photos — a photo of your parking spot, if you choose to take one.
- Space number / notes — any space number or note you enter.
This information is created by you, for your own use, and is stored locally on your device.
How your information is used
The information above is used solely to show you where you parked and help you navigate back to it. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The app does not require an account to use.
Device permissions
The app requests the following permissions, and only uses them for the stated purpose:
- Location (while in use) — to record where you parked when you save a spot.
- Camera — to let you take a photo of your parking spot.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Denying a permission may limit the related feature but does not prevent the app from running.
Future online features
Future versions of the app may add optional online features, such as sign-in (for example, OIDC) or syncing your parking spots across devices. If and when such features are introduced, any information they require, how it is used, and how it is protected will be clearly described in the app and reflected in an updated version of this policy. Such features will be optional, and the app will remain usable offline.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Because your parking data is stored on your device, it remains under your control. You can delete any saved parking spot from within the app at any time, and removing the app from your device removes its associated data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the updated policy at this page.
